Native’s Northern Great Plains Regenerative Grazing Project Achieves Validation

Source Node: 1782368

In 2019, four ranchers helped form the Northern Great Plains Regenerative Grazing project, trailblazing the path to where we are today: with the first North American regenerative grazing project validated to the Verified Carbon Standard. We are so grateful to these ranchers who jumped in, the companies who provided catalytic capital, Western Sustainability Exchange, who provided the place-based on-the-ground implementation expertise, Mark Ritchie for his SNAPGRAZE model calibrated to the region, and many more who helped to make this happen.

To advance their goals for climate and regenerative supply sheds, companies including Xanterra, Pet Sustainability Coalition, Gucci, Reformation, Everlane, Allbirds, and many others supported the earliest phases of this work.

We, the ranchers, and the company supporters know this is only the start to shifting local and global food and apparel supply chains toward regenerative practices. Keep an eye out for updates on our expansion plans.
