Milwaukee dessert trailer Sweetly Baked sells CBD-infused baked goods

Sweetly Baked, the downtown Milwaukee maker of CBD-infused cookies, chocolates and other such items, now will be selling its goodies from a mobile dessert bar.

That means the bakery without a storefront will be able to sell its items at more events this year.

The dessert food trailer’s lineup always will have sweets such as macarons and brownies, but it won’t always include products that are infused with hemp-derived CBD, said owner Amanda Buhrman, who opened Sweetly Baked’s commercial kitchen downtown in 2021.

The mobile dessert bar won’t have CBD-infused items at its first public event — Jan. 28 and 29, at the re:Craft & Relic vendor market in the Milwaukee County Sports Complex, 6000 W. Ryan Road, Franklin — because the health department there wouldn’t allow it. But Buhrman said she expects to have them at most events the dessert bar will visit this summer.
