The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has announced the finalists for this year’s Global Fintech Hackcelerator and Singapore Fintech Festival’s (SFF) Global Fintech Awards.
These awards are among the highlights of SFF 2022 taking place from 2 to 4 November 2022.
Global Fintech Hackcelerator 2022
The theme for this year’s Global Fintech Hackcelerator, organised by MAS and supported by Oliver Wyman, is “Accelerating A Greener Digital Future” — focused on web 3.0 and green finance.
The 17 finalists will receive a S$20,000 cash stipend and be eligible for a fast-tracked application process to receive a cash grant of up to S$200,000 under the MAS Financial Sector Technology and Innovation (FSTI) Proof-of-Concept Scheme.
The 10 local finalists and seven international finalists will also pitch their solutions at a demo day during SFF, where the top three winners will each receive S$50,000 in prize money.
Cogo (local)
Cogo pulls categorised transactional data from banking or accountancy platforms and assigns an emission factor to calculate the carbon footprint for each transaction.
ESGnie (local)
ESGnie provides ESG teams end-to-end operating systems for performing a variety of complex data tasks in an automated manner.
GIST Impact (local)
GIST Impact ingests data from listed companies and returns impact information in monetary units mapped to international regulatory standards and investing benchmarks.
givvable (local)
givvable’s solution matches suppliers with third party recognised sustainability and ESG actions that are auto-mapped to corporate targets, impact objectives and reporting standards.
WeavInsight (local)
WeavInsight leverages new modular sources of data and analytics technology to provide real-time data on ESG risks and climate change for ESG KYC and parametric ESG intelligence platforms.
FQX (local)
FQX is a Zurich-based startup offering a hub for tokenised debt powered by eNotesTM.
norbloc (local)
norbloc’s flagship platform, Fides, connects financial institutions and government entities in an ecosystem where KYC data is validated and shared, thus mutualising the burden of KYC and removing data silos.
swIDch (local)
swIDch aims to eliminate digital identity-related fraud through OTACTM, a dynamic code that identifies and authenticates a user with the code alone and even without a network connection.

SFF Global Fintech Awards 2022
This year’s SFF Global Fintech Awards, presented by MAS and the Singapore FinTech Association (SFA) and supported by PwC Singapore, is themed “Embracing Digital, Charting the New Normal”.
223 submissions were received across nine award categories, with the winners to be announced at the SFF Fintech Awards Dinner on 3 November 2022.
The finalists shortlisted for MAS’ four award categories — Singapore fintech (Singapore founder), ASEAN fintech, Singapore financial institution, and global — will be subjected to a qualifying round.
The finalists in SFA’s five award categories — Top 10 fintech leaders, ASEAN fintech leaders, fintech employer of the year, partners of fintech, and knowledge enterprise award — do not have a qualifying round and all are considered.
