Lane Johnson to Put Off Season-Ending Surgery

Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson is putting off season-ending surgery. After suffering a torn adductor, he has decided that he will rehab the injury for up to three weeks to be able to return to the field for the NFC playoffs.

The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Wednesday.

Johnson left last Saturday’s divisional matchup against the Cowboys with just four minutes left to play. He is a truly massive piece of their run-centric offense, clearing lanes for Hurts and Sanders. He also set a record for consecutive snaps without allowing a sack this year (928).

2022 marks Johnson’s fourth Pro Bowl selection, and in all likelihood will be his second First Team All-Pro nod. The former fourth overall pick helped lead backup quarterback Nick Foles and the Eagles to their first-ever Super Bowl win back in 2017.
