It seems that Jack Dorsey, co-founder of Twitter and current CEO of fintech startup Block, has backed Robert Kennedy Jr., a Democrat presidential contender who supports Bitcoin.

On Sunday, he posted a video of an interview he had with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., conducted by Fox News’ Harris Faulkner, with the caption, “Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., argues he can beat Trump and DeSantis in 2024.” Dorsey has publicly stated his optimism for Bitcoin’s future as a worldwide currency.

Bitcoin, Dorsey said in 2014, may emerge as the “native currency of the internet.” Block’s Cash App, a mobile payment service, enables users to purchase and trade Bitcoin, and he has continued to advocate for Bitcoin and blockchain technology via these and other companies.

Against Government’s War on Crypto

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) would never let Kennedy become the Democratic nominee, as other people pointed out; Dorsey replied, “Even more reason” and “True but they seem to be more irrelevant by the day.”

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the nephew of the killed John F. Kennedy, is an attorney who has worked for the government for decades and focuses on environmental law. He has made headlines in recent years for his outspoken criticism of COVID-19 vaccinations, calling for more testing and regulation and voicing doubts about the vaccines’ safety.

At the Bitcoin 2023 conference in Miami, Kennedy claimed that the Canadian government’s controversial move to clamp down on truck drivers protesting against lockdowns by freezing their bank accounts piqued his interest in Bitcoin.

The Democratic presidential nominee has spoken out against the government’s “war on crypto,” as well as the intentions to establish a central bank digital currency (CBDC).
