As the holiday season approaches, fans are starting to wonder if Winter Express is coming back to Apex Legends in 2023.

Apex Legends always introduces limited-time modes every season, bringing chaotic, wacky, and sometimes extremely fun, experiences to the Battle Royale. In Apex Legends: Ignite, Respawn Entertainment collaborated with Post Malone to bring Three Strikes, a LTM so beloved its stay in the game got extended.

Now, Revenant Uprising joined Apex Legends, but all anyone can think about is Winter Express.

Winter Express is an LTM in Apex Legends that Respawn Entertainment brings back every year around the holiday season. The mode pits three squads against one another as they race to capture the Winter Express as it circles World’s Edge.

The LTM is one of the most popular experiences ever released in Apex Legends, and it is always a treat when it returns in December. Unfortunately, it looks like fans will be without it this winter.

No, Winter Express is likely not coming back to Apex Legends in 2023. Fans expected the beloved LTM to be in the game already, and yet there is still no sign of it in Season 19. Instead, Revenant Uprising, the limited-time mode in the Uprising Collection Event, is set to remain in the game until Jan. 2, 2024.

Fans expressed their disappointment in the Apex Legends subreddit. A thread titled, “Where is Winter Express?” starts, “Am I only one frustrated by these devs? Why there is no Winter Express?”

The replies share the sentiment and call for the developers to bring the LTM back in 2023. So far, though, there has been no word from Respawn Entertainment confirming or denying the mode’s return.

In theory, Winter Express could still come back in the upcoming weeks, but with each passing day, it becomes less and less likely.
