Indonesia To Introduce Regulation For Responsible AI Use

Indonesia is set to introduce a comprehensive regulation to govern the utilization of artificial intelligence (AI) shortly. 

Indonesian Minister of Communication and Informatics, Budi Arie Setiadi, confirmed this development, emphasizing the need to strike a balance between fostering innovation and safeguarding democracy, the rule of law, and fundamental rights.

Regulation Aimed At Mitigating Risks

The forthcoming AI regulation in Indonesia is poised to address the burgeoning landscape of AI technologies. 

Minister Budi Arie Setiadi has indicated that the regulation could take the form of a ministerial decree or a circular letter.
