Immortals of Aveum is a first-person shooter in which the protagonist is able to control different types of powers. Since the first videos shown by the developers, the game seems to have highlighted good potential and a good dose of fun, even if we should wait for its official release to be able to say exactly if these premises will be respected. However, waiting for the launch, we have decided to create this article in which we provide you with all the information we have about the title so that you have a complete overview of everything.

One of the first things to know and certainly one of the most searched for is the Immortals of Aveum release date. For the uninitiated, the Ascendent Studios game will be available on the global market starting August 22, 2023. The game should have already been released originally last month, but the team of development then announced its postponement in order to have more time to devote to the title to finalize the last things before its launch on the market.

Immortals of Aveum will be available to all players on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Unfortunately, owners of the old consoles, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, who have not yet made the transition to their respective next-gen consoles, will not be able to enjoy the game. The developers, in fact, have not taken into consideration the development of old-gen versions for their game to “deliver maximum fidelity, performance, and a cutting edge cinematic campaign experience true to the Ascendant team’s vision.”

Immortals of Aveum story

The Aveum universe, which has five distinct realms, is the setting for Immortals of Aveum. Oremen, Lucium, K’ley, Rasharn, and Kalthus are the realms, and between each of them is a vast gap known as The Wound. The Everwar, an ongoing conflict that spans millennia, has had an impact on each of these five kingdoms. The only two superpowers remaining as a result of the destruction are Lucium and Rasharn, and they have diametrically opposed opinions regarding how magic ought to be used and dispersed by those in positions of authority.

You take on the role of Jak, a reluctant hero who is forced into the Everwar after gaining new abilities. In essence, Immortals of Aveum is a first-person shooter, except you deal damage with magic and spells rather than using weapons and ammunition. There are 25 spells available to you, divided into the magics of blue, red, and green. In addition, your spells can now have one of 80 skills. You can also locate, improve, and make magical equipment that will theoretically increase both your offensive and defensive prowess.

Blue magic, which deals with the actual physical manipulation of matter, enables you to fire pinpoint bolts, eerily construct shields and defensive barriers, or even change gravity. Red magic spells have the ability to rip energy in severe ways and harness it for deadly beams. Growth, death, and transition are topics covered by green magic. Spells control objects and enemies by changing them or their environment. Bind things in place, fool an opponent with illusions, or negate their ability to spell or heal.

Immortals of Aveum open world

Immortals of Aveum offers a variety of exploration options. You employ Augments as you move through the stages while running and jumping. These assist in a variety of ways, such as relocating things and resolving riddles, giving you the ability to hover, or repairing specific areas of an area. Throughout the course of the game, Jack acquires new skills that enable him to access new locations. You can go back to earlier locations and apply newly acquired skills to open up new ones as you acquire new ones.

Battlefields, ruins, and many more locales have been shown to us so far. Ascendant Studios has revealed that there are 12 different biomes in the world, however, the planet’s size is unclear. There are three Hubs as well, from which you can travel to the Forge to upgrade your gear or meet with other NPCs, complete missions, or take on quests.

Unfortunately, the game doesn’t have a multiplayer mode, at least at the moment. The developers have in fact claimed to be totally focused on the development of the single-player mode of the title and therefore it is for this reason that there will be no support for the multiplayer mode. However, it would seem that this mode could be added later in the post-launch path of the title, even if there is no confirmation for the moment.
