The number one location to find Knotroots is in caves which are located in various locations. Initially, the Knotroots don’t stand out but they are contorted and twirled roots in and around the cave walls. To harvest them, simply make and equip an axe and chop away. Walking up to a cave will bring up a prompt allowing players to enter the hole. They can generally be found in non-grassy biomes. Whenever caves have been discovered, they will be highlighted with a mountain icon located on the map. This helps players come back and farm for more materials.
