How To Find And Catch Fezandipiti In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Teal Mask DLC

Right after completing the main story of the Teal Mask DLC, the Loyal Three you fought earlier as Titan Pokémon can now be caught proper. Fezandipiti, the bird of the group, is right out there on the overworld to be tracked down and caught. Let’s catch ourselves some mean Pokémon to fill out our Pokédex. Here’s how to find and catch Fezandipiti in the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Teal Mask DLC.

Where to find and catch Fezandipiti in the Teal Mask DLC

Fezandipiti will be in the same place you fought it as a Titan Pokémon, that is to say at the cliff edge right outside the cave system you watched it flee into earlier.

The closest location to fly to is the Crystal Pools, from which you can easily scale the rock wall and glide over to the cavern entrance, then glide to the exit.

Fezandipiti is right there by itself, waiting for you.

You cannot throw a Poké Ball to surprise it, you have to run up and talk to it to start the battle. Note that while it does have a gender, it is 100% male. You cannot get a female one, so don’t try soft resetting.

Fezandipiti battle breakdown

Fezandipiti is level 70 and has an entirely different moveset from the Titan battle:

Beat Up: Fezandipiti’s only attack move, which due to it being a solo Pokémon, will only strike once. Due to it lacking STAB (same type attack bonus), it shouldn’t do that much damage.
Roost: Fezandipiti will heal half health. Since it’s not a flying type, it can’t lose its flying typing.
Flatter: While only raising Special Attack by one stage, otherwise identical to Swagger, causing Confusion. This means your Attack stat won’t worsen damage and you can keep the boost once you snap out of Confusion. However, when trying to catch a Pokémon this isn’t ideal either.
Swagger: Raises your current Pokémon’s attack stat two stages, but confuses it. Swagger is an infamously annoying move because Confusion factors in your attack stat, meaning its dangerous to hurt itself. Fortunately, both the boost and the confusion are healed by switching out.

In short, Fezandipiti can’t really do much damage to you, but it can keep spamming Confusion and Roost. You may very well find yourself needing to outlast its Roost PP or taunting it so you don’t constantly have your damage nullified. Keep in mind also its unique ability, Toxic Chain. When you attack it, there’s a 30% chance your Pokémon gets badly poisoned. For this reason alone it’s best to weather it out with a Steel type.

Fezandipiti is a Poison/Fairy type. This means it is weak to Ground, Steel, and Psychic. It resists Fairy, Grass, Dark, and it especially resists Fighting and Bug.

Fezandipiti is listed as a catch rate of 1.6%… but considering all I had to do was use one Earthquake from Clodsire and throw an Ultra Ball to catch it first try, it might be adjusted for increase or an auto win. I’m not usually that lucky.

And with that, the Ogre Bullying Bird is yours! Now we have another Poison/Fairy besides Galar Weezing and Koffing to enjoy, and he’s quite a pretty one, too!
