As simple as it sounds, we struggled with it for a half hour and couldn’t quite get it how we wanted it. However, we did find some tricks to make it work.

What you have to do to build a roof in Palworld is to first build the basic roof tiles above you. See below for an image that can serve as a point of reference for the square tiles you need above you:

From there, use the Wooden Slanted Roof tile to get on top of the roof:

Note that it is a bit finicky! You’ll need to use this as a bridge piece between the two. From there, you’ll need to build a lower roof first off the side, then build above that. You’ll need to do it on the other side as well – see the video walkthrough above as an example.

Finally, once the roof is completed, go into the disassembly mode to disassemble the pieces of roof you used to help make the roof, and it will give you a fully functioning roof.

While it is definitely more complicated than it should be, we are aware that Palworld is in Early Access.

So, in summary:

• To build a roof in Palworld, first build the basic roof tiles above you.
• From there, use the Wooden Slanted Roof tile to get on top of the roof – you’ll need to use this as a bridge piece between the two.
