Get to Know the Cast of Hideo Kojima’s OD

Source Node: 3008015

In Sept. 2022, renowned video game designer Hideo Kojima announced he would partner with Xbox Game Studios for a huge project. He described it as a “completely new game that no one has ever experienced or seen before.”

Since then, Kojima fans have been dying for more news about the creator’s newest title. They finally got more information about it during The Game Awards 2023, where Kojima and filmmaker Jordan Peele showed a trailer for their horror game called OD.

There’s not much detail in it, but fans are excited about what’s in store, especially given the strong cast members. Continue reading to learn more about the OD actors.

As of writing, we’re unsure of which actors play which characters. The developers have yet to announce characters. Here’s who’ll be in OD so far.

Sophia Lillis

Lillis has been in a fair share of horror movies, such as It and It Chapter Two, where she plays Beverly Marsh. She is also Doric in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves and Gretel in Gretel & Hansel. It seems OD is Lillis’ first appearance in the video gaming industry.

Hunter Schafer

Schafer modeled for several major name brands, such as Tommy Hilfiger, Gucci, and Dior, before showing up in HBO’s Euphoria. The actress plays a transgender high school student named Jules Vaughn in the teen drama and also portrays Tigris Snow in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. Like Lillis, OD will be Schafer’s first time starring in a video game.

Udo Kier

Kier has been in the acting business since the 60s, starting his career as a child in Road the Saint Tropez. The actor is known for his roles as Adolf Hitler in Hunters, Pat Pitsenbarger in Swan Song, and Michael in Bacurau. OD isn’t Kier’s first time acting in video games. Some may recognize him as Erich from Martha is Dead, Dr. Peter Straub from Call of Duty: WWII, and several other titles.

Kojima Production’s upcoming horror title, OD, examines the idea of overdosing on fear. We don’t know much else about the game’s plot. Kojima described it as a “new form of media,” and that’s all it takes to stir curiosity.
