We’re almost there! Season 7 has almost arrived and we’re just counting down the days until Season 6 ends on June 8th.
There’s a lot of signs pointing to a full-blown alien invasion taking place, but we don’t know for sure what otherworldly happenings are going to take place. Here’s what we know about the more… Minute changes, though.

LATEST – One Upcoming Change Leaked
If you’re not aware, Epic Games doesn’t often issue Patch Notes for Fortnite in a traditional sense. We’re still not sure why they don’t do this, but there are a few good reasons why they’d want to keep every change a secret.
Either way, this doesn’t look like it’s going to change soon. So, getting new information about the upcoming season is a little harder than it should be. Thankfully, as we approach release, leaks are starting to pick up.
One notable Fortnite content creator has shared the following change coming in v17.00:
We know it isn’t a major change, but it’s a start. If this is the kind of small issue that Epic Games is going to fix, we can imagine there are countless other minor bugs that should be resolved when v17.00 drops.

Season 7 Begins in Just a Few Short Days
With the current Battle Pass for Season 6 set to conclude in just a few short days, it’s time to start thinking about the future, and our inevitable assimilation in the upcoming alien invasion. I, for one, welcome our new interstellar overlords!
With Season 7 set to begin on June 8, its time to start wrapping up any remaining challenges you might have left, and purchase any skins you’ve been mulling over but hadn’t pulled the trigger on yet.
And, uh, there are still no patch notes.
Aliens Were Here All Along
Recent leaks have revealed that aliens will be coming to the game next season, but it appears that they’ve been teased all along.
Dotted across the map are numerous Spire towers, it turns out their positions line up to a recently decrypted image of a crop circle.
With Season 7 rumoured to be the end of Chapter 2, it looks like Epic Games is shaking things up in a big way.
June 2021’s Crew Pack Revealed

The next Fortnite Crew Pack has been revealed after Epic Games teased it all throughout May with various loading screens.
In a blog post, Epic Games revealed more about Mecha Team Leader and the other items that will be included as part of the set.
“Mecha Cuddle Master — made of steel but still snuggly — is the star of June 2021’s Fortnite Crew Pack. In addition to the Mecha Cuddle Master Outfit, this Pack features the sleek Psytronic Bow Back Bling, the fuel-powered Nuzzle Jet Pickaxe, and the decorative Cuddle Mech Wrap. Multiple editions of the Outfit, Back Bling, and Pickaxe were assembled: the pink default Style, the white and black Midnight Style, and the white and red Royale Style.”
The Crew Pack will include;
- Mecha Team Master skin
- 1,000 V-Bucks
- The upcoming Chapter 2 Season 7 Battle Pass
- 3 months of Spotify Premium

Street Shadows Pack Is Available For Free
It isn’t often that Epic Games gives away a free skin, but they have done just that by giving away the Street Shadows Pack.
It is worth noting that the skin can only be claimed on the PC version of the game, but the challenges can be completed on any platform.

The skin bundle can be found in the Item Shop and purchasing it unlocks new challenges which when completed will unlock the skin.

No Season 7 Patch Notes?
Yeah, so… If you’re a Fortnite veteran you’ll know that we don’t really get Patch Notes from Epic Games anymore. There are a few theories as to why and we can imagine that they’re all somewhat true.
Firstly, there are a lot of changes going on with Fortnite all of the time. Epic Games are always refining the experience and keeping it fresh with rotating weapons and new content. Limiting this to one or two major patches a month wouldn’t do the game any good.
Secondly, as brought up by a now-deleted Reddit account, Epic Games doesn’t want anyone to stop playing because of the changes they would make.

Say if you exclusively use the Heavy Assault Rifle and then you found out they’re going to “Vault” it. You’re less likely to play Fortnite, right? If Epic Games stop telling people these sorts of changes, they’re less likely to stop playing in-between updates.
Even if it turns out that you love the new changes, there’s always the doubt that might put people off and seeing things on paper is totally different from actually playing the game.
What Is Going To Change Anyway?
At this point, we just don’t know. When we said Epic Games were secretive with their changes, they really are. A lot of the time, we only find out about changes as and when they are implemented.
Fortnite Status is always there to let us know when there’s a technical issue, but we don’t really get to find these things out prior to when Epic Games say “we’re fixing this”.

The only place you can look is Fortnite’s Community Issues board on Trello. This is where people report issues and where Epic Games can let the fans know when their issue has been fixed.
This isn’t exactly like the traditional “Patch Notes” experience we are used to, but it’s the best we’ve got right now.
When Is Season 7 Due To Start?
We’ve been talking about Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 throughout, but we haven’t actually mentioned when it starts yet! Don’t worry though, this was for a reason.
We don’t actually have any confirmation about when Fortnite’s next season is due to start. We can look at the current Battle Pass and see when that is due to end though, which offers us some clues.
The Season 6 Battle Pass is due to expire on June 8th and this means we could see Season 7 begin on June 8th or June 10th.
Why June 10th? Well, Epic Games doesn’t usually start a new season on a Tuesday and June 8th is a Tuesday. With that in mind, the recent updates do seem to be a little more sporadic and some have fallen on Tuesdays so this could actually be the case.
However, Epic Games has been known to throw in a few delays to serve their narrative direction and we can imagine that the End-Of-Season event is going to be another important milestone.
