Fan-Favorite AR Tops Warzone Long-Range Meta After Unstoppable Buff

A fan-favorite AR in Call of Duty is now the best long-range option in Warzone after an unstoppable buff.

Call of Duty: Warzone Season 6 launched with a handful of weapon changes aimed to balance a few of the overpowered assault rifles in the game. As the season unfolds, though, more and more weapon buffs and nerfs keep changing the long-range meta. In the most recent patch notes, the Kastov 762 and TR-76 Geist got nerfed yet again, leaving room for a new weapon to dominate the Battle Royale.

Despite all the new weapons in Warzone and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, it looks like the best assault rifle is now once again the M4.

The fan-favorite M4 received an unstoppable buff in the Oct. 23 patch. The already elite weapon got its close-mid damage range increased, and both casual and professional players instantly noticed a difference.

Warzone content creator, Luke "Metaphor" Canning, revealed in his latest YouTube video that no other assault rifle trumps the newly buffed M4.

"They just nerfed every top-tier AR while also buffing the M4," Metaphor explained. "This is a double buff for the M4. Not only did the M4 get buffed but the other guns got nerfed, specifically the guns at the very top."

The perfect time for fans to test out the "double buff" to the M4 is in The Haunting event. Defeating the six Operation Nightmare bosses requires the best guns in the game, and the M4 is surely up to the task.
