Elon Musk says Singularity is near amid AI development race

In response to the launch of the AI chatbot “GPT4All”, Tesla CEO warned developers against the future outcome.

Elon Musk is the CEO of Twitter, SpaceX, & Tesla. He is popular in the world because of his richest personality & successful tech companies. Musk loves cryptocurrencies also. He holds Bitcoin, Ethereum, & Dogecoin. Last month, Musk said that he is now interested in Artificial intelligence (AI) technology. 

On 11 April 2023, Brian Roemmele, the founder of the technology blog Multiplex published an article to guide people to explain how to install GPT4All on a personal computer.

“GPT4All” is the first ever AI chatbot that doesn’t require the internet and only needs 4GB of space. This AI ChatBot was developed by AI development firm Nomic AI and reportedly they developed this ChatBot within four days at a cost of just $1,300.

The GPT4AII Developer firm confirmed that this ChatBot is not powerful as ChatGPT-4 from AI firm OpenAI but still, it is much more powerful and can be used for personal benefits.

“Are there limitations? Of course. It is not ChatGPT 4, and it will not handle some things correctly. However, it is one of the most powerful Personal AI systems ever released.”

Tesla’s CEO responded to this Innovation and said that singularity is near. 

In the past, Musk showed his interest in AI tech development but has been a vocal critic of AI development. In late March, he signed a letter published by the United States think tank Future of Life Institute to request all AI developers to immediately pause” training powerful AI systems.

AI chatbot, Crypto, & blockchain 

AI chatbot-related development is also surging in the crypto sector. Some of the flagship crypto projects allocated some funding to the AI sector. 

To process a high amount of internet data with fully decentralised nature, developers believe that the use of blockchain technology is the best choice and also use of crypto assets will be the best business model in the paid model of AI Chatbots.
