Family-owned East Coast Motor Company is closing its Ford dealership in Cromer's Beach Road after trading in Norfolk for more than a century.

Formerly known as Cromer Motors, managing director Adam Rounce said it will no longer sell cars from the end of March although plans to keep its workshop open.

"This difficult decision has come after a long period of serious consideration. Navigating the car sales through Ford's restructuring, the Covid-19 pandemic and these tough economic conditions has not been easy,” said Rounce.

Rounce is the fourth generation to own and run the business after his father George first obtained the Ford franchise in 1967. He took over the business when his father retired.

He said the business will continue to look after existing and new customers, carrying out MOTs, servicing and maintaining all makes of car, but specialising in Fords.
