The League of Legends Championship (LCO) is the premier competitive tournament for the popular MOBA game. In the first split of 2023, two teams have risen to the top of the standings: Dire Wolves and Bliss Reclaim. Both teams have earned the coveted top two seeds in Stage 3, setting them up for a potential grand finals showdown.

Dire Wolves have been a consistent presence in the LCO since their inception in 2021. Led by their star mid laner, Lucian, they have been able to consistently stay near the top of the standings. This split, they have been able to take it to the next level with a dominant performance in Stage 2. They finished the stage with a 9-1 record, only dropping a single game to their rivals, Bliss Reclaim.

Bliss Reclaim have been an up-and-coming team since their formation in 2022. They have been able to make a name for themselves this split with their aggressive playstyle and strong teamfighting. Led by their jungler, Kha’Zix, they have been able to take games off of some of the top teams in the league. This has allowed them to secure the second seed in Stage 3 and set up a potential grand finals showdown with Dire Wolves.

Both teams have shown that they are capable of taking games off of each other, so the potential grand finals matchup could be an exciting one. Dire Wolves will be looking to prove that their dominance in Stage 2 was no fluke, while Bliss Reclaim will be looking to prove that they are capable of competing with the best teams in the league. No matter who comes out on top, one thing is certain: this split has been an exciting one and it’s only going to get better as we head into Stage 3 and beyond.
