After suffering an apparent shoulder injury in the first half of Week 3’s game against the Packers, New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr may miss some time. Officially listed as week-to-week with an AC joint sprain, the timetable for Carr’s return to the field is iffy, but his season is not over.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter.

After Carr left the game in the first half, the Saints entered the second half up 17-0 with backup Jameis Winston under center. The New Orleans defense, that has not given up 20-plus points in 11 straight games, allowed the Packers to score 18 unanswered in the fourth quarter, while Winston and the offense couldn’t get anything going.

Carr was the quarterback for the Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders from 2014 until 2022, before signing with the Saints this season. So far this year, Carr has thrown for a completion percentage of 65.5, 636 yards, two touchdowns and two picks. The Saints are 2-1.
