Digital Art Fair and MakersPlace have partnered to celebrate visionary 3D and generative artists at this year’s Asia Edition, which will take place in Hong Kong, Oct 19–23, 2023.

Since the inaugural fair in 2021, the Digital Art Fair Asia (DAFA) has become a must-attend event for art and technology enthusiasts to collect digital fine art and celebrate art, culture, and creativity.

MakersPlace will be at the fair presenting two incredible digital artists pushing the boundaries of their mediums: David Ariew and Hideki Tsukamoto in a duel presentation curated by MakersPlace Senior Director Jessica Marinaro.

The Artists

David Ariew – Immersive Room Presenting Artist

Preview of Quantum Transcendence by David Ariew

The Immersive Room is the highlight of the fair, having hosted previous installations by artists like Refik Anadol and Jacky Tsai.

This year, we’re proud to partner with 3D artist David Ariew to present the exclusive premiere of Quantum Transcendence (2023), an awe-inspiring 3D infinite mirror room. David showcased a sneak peek of the experience at Beeple Studios’ grand opening in Charleston, SC earlier this year. The unique 3D experience will be accompanied by a VR experience and a 2D version of the seminal work. A small collection of Limited Edition works and an Open Edition from the same series will also be debuted.

The Immersive Room experience will be auctioned off in partnership with auction house Phillips.

The works will be revealed on MakersPlace a week before the Art Fair inaugural VIP day.

Additionally, MakersPlace will be curating an artist, to be announced soon, for the Fair’s AI Zone.
