Healthcare technology company PaceMate has joined forces with medical device company AliveCor.

PaceMate developed a cardiac remote monitoring platform, PaceMateLIVE, which is claimed to be the only cardiac remote monitoring platform that encompasses all implantable cardiac devices, consumer electrocardiograms (ECGs), heart failure and event monitoring products.

PaceMateLIVE is a platform with monitoring and electronic health record integrations, enabling the seamless sharing of secure ECG data and optimising the workflows of physicians.

Under the collaboration, the companies will combine the strengths of the PaceMateLIVE platform with AliveCor’s KardiaPro platform. The integrated system will facilitate the collection and evaluation of ECG data from both the artificial intelligence-driven, six-lead KardiaMobile(R) 6L and the single-lead KardiaMobile Card.

PaceMate CEO Tripp Higgins said: “PaceMateLIVE offers a comprehensive clinical platform that can monitor patients with consumer wearables, ambulatory event monitoring, heart failure and implantable cardiac device data from the earliest stages of disease progression through the full cardiac care continuum – this is unique in cardiac data management.”

The partnership will enable healthcare providers to utilise PaceMateLIVE to access clinically significant heart rhythm analyses and actionable reports.

This empowers them to better monitor high-risk patients, detect underlying arrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation and implement enhancements to patient care and clinical outcomes.

AliveCor biopharma global and healthcare North America senior vice-president Patricia Baran said: “Activating AliveCor’s KardiaMobile ECGs capabilities on PaceMate’s comprehensive PaceMateLIVE platform helps improve the quality and efficiency of patient care by providing comprehensive visibility and critical insights within a single solution to streamline clinician workflows.”

Furthermore, healthcare providers can track various risk factors related to heart failure, including weight and blood pressure, for patients using AliveCor through its application programmer interface with consumer health applications.
