Carbon dioxide peaks over New Zealand

Last Tuesday, NIWA’s CO2 reading at the Baring Head clean air station near Wellington reached an all-time high of 418.5 parts per million (ppm) – well above the “safe” level of 350 ppm that could keep warming below 1.5 degrees C.
