Capcom recently revealed the price point and release date for the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro and iPad M1 versions of Resident Evil Village () and also confirmed the price point for Resident Evil 4 remake. Details for the pricing, DLC, and pre-orders are here. In a new interview (Source: GamesIndustry.Biz via The GameDiscoverCo newsletter), Capcom Producer Tsuyoshi Kanda revealed that the studio could reach a point where it is able to target phones and tablets alongside current-generation consoles. The interview is worth reading for how Capcom worked with Apple before these ports, the M2 chips, and more.

In the same interview, Masachika Kawata, one of Resident Evil Village’smentioned that Capcom is not ready to commit to simultaneous releases of future games, because there are a lot of unknowns and the team will get feedback based on the current games scheduled to launch. They want to do better with each iteration. I don’t expect simultaneous releases, but I’m interested to see what Capcom brings next following these two releases. I doubt the team worked on supporting the RE Engine for Apple hardware just for two games. You can pre-order Resident Evil Village here for iPhone 15 Pro series and iPad (M1 and later). It is a free download with a one time unlock for the full game, and also extra DLC available like on PC and consoles. Will you be trying out Resident Evil 4 or Resident Evil Village on iPadOS or iPhone 15 Pro this year?
