Brave Wallet has integrated the BitPay Protocol into its platform. This integration allows users of the Brave privacy browser’s crypto wallet to make seamless and reliable payments directly from their wallets.

BitPay told AlexaBlockchain that the implementation offers Brave Wallet users the ability to shop using Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies at a wide range of online and in-store merchants, including popular names like Newegg, APMEX, PacSun, AMC Theatres, and airBaltic.

Stephen Pair, the CEO of BitPay, commended Brave’s adoption of the BitPay Protocol and highlighted the promotion of payment quality for customers and merchants utilizing crypto payments.

BitPay is a leading cryptocurrency payments company which supports various cryptocurrencies, ensuring that Brave Wallet users can utilize their preferred coins for making payments.

The BitPay Protocol, launched in 2017, guarantees accurate payments by eliminating common payment exceptions such as overpayments, underpayments, late payments, unconfirmed payments, and potential double-spends.

As the crypto industry continues to attract new customers, ensuring payment accuracy becomes increasingly important. The BitPay Protocol sets high standards for payment quality in the crypto space, enabling more precise and reliable blockchain payments both online and in physical stores.

James Mudgett, VP of Web3 products at Brave, stated that the integration expands the utility of Brave Wallet, making it easier for users to spend their cryptocurrencies on real-world goods and services.

The Brave Wallet is a secure, multi-chain cryptocurrency wallet integrated directly into the Brave web browser. In addition to making payments with crypto, Brave Wallet users can buy, receive, and send various crypto assets across multiple chains. They can also import non-custodial wallets, track live crypto prices, swap coins, and interact with Web3 DApps. The Brave Wallet is available on desktop and mobile devices as a core feature of the Brave web browser.
