1) April Fools #1 – Brand-new Breakfast Cereal: Deathloop’s Deathloops

The first of the list comes from Arkane Studios’ newest title, Deathloop.

What was already one of the year’s most highly anticipated game releases, it’s now becoming the highest anticipated breakfast cereal: Deathloops.

It was the game’s (Deathloop) official Twitter account who revealed the hopefully-not-joke brand that I would live the same day over and over just to constantly eat a bowl of it.

For those who don’t get the joke: it’s Fruit Loops with the game’s twist to it.

Joke ruined? Probably. Tasty-looking cereal with gunpowder as the main ingredient? Hell yeah!

2) April Fools #2 – G Fuel Chili Dog Flavor by “Sanic Hegehog”

G Fuel has collaborated with so many IPs for their crazily-named energy drink flavors, that something like this could easily pass off the table (without the handmade draw of sanic).

This one in particular is inspired by the meme version of Sega’s mascot and the original one favorite junk food: Chili Dogs. Believe it or not, it was a real product for a day.

Available in the U.S. and Canada, the Sanic bundle you see above included both the 40-serving Sanic Chili Dogs tub and original, also 40-serving Sonic’s Peach Rings tub with the 16-ounce Sanic shaker cup.

15-calories and 140mg of caffeine, with a handful of antioxidants from 18 fruit extracts, the G Fuel Chili Dogs flavor gives you the boost to run as fast as “Sanic the Hegehog.”

3) April Fools #3 – “Dark Ciders” – Darksiders Artisanal Beverages

Did the bowl of cereal leave you thirsty but the chili dog drink didn’t make much to satisfy it?

Here’s where the refreshing “Dark Ciders” Artisanal Beverages (more like refreshing alcohol-free apple cider drinks, except Strife’s 6.66%) come into play.

The wordplay is also strong with the drinks inspired by the four horsemen of the apocalypse.

4) April Fools #4 – Body Pillows: ESO Demon and Mass Effect Garrus

Who said body pillows were only for Weeaboos and its waifus?
Hardcore gamers can also snuggle along with Mehrunes Dagon (The Elder Scrolls) and Garrus (Mass Effect).

According to “The House of Troubles”, the also known “God of Destruction”, Mehrunes Dagon is an official member of the Daedric Princes of Oblivion and enemy to all mortal races in ESO IV: Oblivion and ESO Online: Blackwood, attempting to conquer Nirn many times.

Beyond deep sleep and amidst all the jokes, the fan-favorite Garrus Vakarian body pillowcase is a real product added to the BioWare store’s line of Mass Effect merch.

5) April Fools #5 – NewEgg Lists Beverage Dispenser Gaming PC

If the Dark Ciders don’t do anything to you, the HYDRATOR might.

This gaming PC built by the American chain NewEgg is equipped with Intel processors that help you play, work, and study without dehydrating: It can serve you exotic drinks you never heard of, as the RAM & Coke, Intel Core Mari9i, CMOS-politan, or 11th Gen Rocket Fuel.

It works under Windows 10 Taproom Edition and features both AI technology and Raspberry Pi, as well as a dissipation system to excess heat and heat liquids.

Do you think all of it is a joke? Well, it is. But NewEgg did build a functioning model of the HYDRATOR and posted a product page on its website for sale at $10,010.01.

6) April Fools #6 – Zero-Gravity Roccat’s “Burst HE” Mouse

For those who struggle with mouse sensitivity for their no-scopes: here’s a gaming mouse so light that is capable of defying gravity.

Sadly, the page where the link pointed to was deleted and it was a mere prank.

Users from Twitter and Reddit made it clear that they would love to buy one like this, even if it doesn’t float as the gimmick one.

The fact is, its dotted pattern resembles a lot of the popular Glorious Model O gaming mice. Although the real question would be: would it win against Razer’s Project Mcfly?

7) April Fools #7 – Razer Rapunzel Chroma: Nanotech RGB Hair Dye

Speaking of Razer… The company’s “Rapunzel Chroma” hair dye has 1337 active ingredients. The site lists Chroma Nanites (with distillate), Chamomile Extract, Radianite, Pharmaceutical Grade Hydrogen Peroxide, Alcohol, EDTA Tetrasodium, and Hi-Potion.

It looks like it integrates with the Razer Synapse dedicated App and provides 11 preset effects, countless custom effects (with Chroma Studio), and game-reactive lightning for the largest RGB platform.

It only takes 3 steps to “get your hair in the game” with it.

Probably the best from this April’s Fools joke is how they created Instagram AR filter effects to make your hair shine in different textures (Wave, Fire, Ripple, or Sparkle).

8) Razer Kanagawa Wave (Environmental Merch Collection)

Third news related to Razer in a row, but not more April’s Fools jokes. They’re releasing a new clothing line made 88% of recycled marine plastics to raise awareness of all the plastic thrown into the ocean every year, accelerating climate change and threatening food supply.

Razer’s goal? Fund the recovery of 1kg of plastic per piece sold (limited, five-item collection with 1,337 pieces each) resulting in over 2,200 kgs of plastic out if sold entirely.

The collection: hoodie ($149.99), tee ($89.99), tank top ($69.99), shorts ($79.99), and cap ($49.99) is named “Kanagawa Wave” after the famous Japanese painting “The Great Wave”

9) Dr. Disrespect Book (Violence. Speed. Momentum.) Is Out Now

After so many scandals and bans from tournaments, we finally hear (in this case, read) some good news about the Doc. This time, it surprised us all with his new book “Violence. Speed. Momentum.”

According to Walmart’s description of the “Autographed Edition” of the book:

10) “Stage Channels”: Discord own version of Clubhouse

Remember the invitation-only audio social app “Clubhouse”?

The team of Discord does remember it well, so it is releasing its version called “Stage Channels” for Community servers with similar features: audio rooms to host and join.

As with the main platform, you can make use of it on the mobile and web browser app.

Discord is one of many trying to leverage the success the iOS app had during 2020 (reaching $1 billion of valuation with 3M users).

For example, Twitter launched Spaces a few months ago, and Facebook, LinkedIn, Slack, or Spotify are developing their copycat.
