BEUMER Group, the global supplier of automated material handling systems, will showcase its services, solutions and systems at LogiMAT 2024.

Their theme this year is “Easy to do business with” and visitors to stand 5C51 in Hall 5 at the intralogistics trade show, held from 19 to 21 March in Stuttgart, will see how partnering with BEUMER can further simplify and optimise their intralogistics processes. The focus is on the intelligent use of data-based knowledge, software solutions and pouch technology. In addition, visitors are invited to learn more about the latest innovations in the field of loop sorters and stretch hood technology for transport packaging in cargo handling.

From the data set to proactive recommendations for action

The Global Diagnostic Centre from BEUMER is a new service launched to enable customers to monitor, analyse and predict their process based on LIVE data. This solution enables users to respond proactively to automatically generated optimisation suggestions based on the extensive data capture and experience of the material handling expert. The service revolves around three cornerstones: improve, prevent, insure. This means that BEUMER presents its customers with new options for minimising downtime, improving efficiency and saving costs.

Rethinking intralogistics software

Based on the service-proven Flow Software Suite, the intralogistics specialist will also be showcasing a new software concept in Stuttgart, which includes various standard modules with a defined, configurable range of functions. Customers benefit from shorter delivery times and simplified, and more efficient commissioning. At the same time, the software is still flexible and expandable to allow for adaptation to market requirements at any time.

Job processing - how can it be made more efficient?

In e-commerce and omnichannel business models, the key focus is to process the most articles per hour using the smallest possible amount of space. Here, pouch sorters offer numerous advantages - from sorting, sequencing, and buffering to allocation to workstations. The BG Pouch System for warehouses and distribution hubs is capable of sequencing and sorting 10,000 pouches per hour. Thanks to the maximum pouch capacity of 7 kg, the scalable pouch system from BEUMER covers a wide item mix, including garments on hangers (GOH). To achieve the best possible combination of floor space and height utilisation, the system relies on an 80° angle for the supply and return of materials to and from the workstation.

Dark warehouse?

The dark warehouse scenario, the question of when a warehouse can be managed completely without manual labour, and the technologies that would be required to make this possible, have been a focus of research for BEUMER’s experts for some time. Visitors at LogiMAT are invited to discuss these topics with the experts and learn more about innovative solutions for automation.
