Fortnite has again taken over the gaming world, and if the Big Bang event wasn’t enough, they’ve gone ahead and released the brand season in the form of Chapter 5 Season 1. Now, you’re going to want to obtain the best FPS possible with some new settings.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1: Best Settings

While Fortnite doesn’t appear to be a demanding game to run at first glance, with the new Lumen lighting, it’s become a struggle for most PCs.

However, we say this lightly, as players can always use different settings to obtain optimal FPS, alongside good-looking graphics. As what good is a lot of FPS if your game doesn’t look nice at all?

Below are some good baseline settings for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 thus far.

  • 3D Resolution: 100%
  • View Distance: High
  • Shadows: Off
  • Anti-Aliasing: Medium
  • Textures: High
  • Effects: Low
  • Post-processing: Medium
  • Reflections: OFF
  • Nvidia DLSS: Quality
  • Nvidia Reflex Low Latency: On + Boost
  • V-Sync: Off
  • Motion Blur: Off
  • Ray Tracing: Off

Some of these settings are pretty standard for most games, such as no Ray Tracing or Motion Blur, as these don’t go hand in hand with FPS games.

Keep in mind, that these are just baseline settings, and you should always scale them based on your computer’s software and if you care about the game’s quality. Furthermore, we always recommend updating your graphics card drivers and closing other applications that may use a lot of your PC’s memory, which will, in turn, lower the performance of the game.

Be sure to tweak it however you want, and let us know if these settings have helped you at all, as the new Chapter is one of the best-looking ones, without a doubt.
