The American consumer electronics chain Best Buy announced plans to offer early Black Friday deals while promising to give employees off Thanksgiving Day.

According to Chain Store Age, the organization’s Black Friday Early Access sale for members who are part of the My Best Buy Plus and My Best Buy Total loyalty programs will begin October 27, 2023. Deals for all other shoppers will be available starting October 30.

“The holiday excitement is snowballing at the tech playground. Today [October 17], we announced our full lineup of can’t-miss holiday shopping dates, beginning with Black Friday Early Access for Members on October 27 and Early Black Friday Deals for everyone on October 30,” reads a statement from the company. “The calendar is packed full of savings events and to help you get ready, we launched our Holiday Gift Center — a destination to explore and discover new and innovative tech, find endless inspiration from creative and curated gift lists, and connect with Virtual Sales Experts.”

Best Buy also said it will close all its brick-and-mortar stores on Thanksgiving Day. However, shoppers will still be able to purchase products online.

Best Buy will still be holding a Black Friday sale, which begins Friday, November 17. The company’s Cyber Monday Savings Event is scheduled for Sunday, November 26.

The electronics retailer will also offer customers exclusive holiday discounts via the Best Buy app as part of a new promotional program dubbed Best Buy Drops. The campaign will offer real-time discounts on a variety of products.
