ASL11 Playoffs Bracket Set

AfreecaTV StarLeague Season 11 headed into playoffs

Post KeSPA's wonderkid and last season's runner-up Soma is out of action as the Ro16 of AfreecaTV StarLeague Season 11 concludes. With fan-favourite Bisu likewise put out of the running and a close shave for reigning champion ZerO, a shake-up in Korean Brood War's pecking order is likely on the cards. ASL11 is the second out of four premier StarCraft events planned by AfreecaTV for 2021.

Tournament play resumes this Sunday at 1900KST with the first quarterfinal best-of-5 between Mini and Best. With Flash departing for his mandatory military service sometime this month and JaeDong only being released towards the end of 2021, this is the second time in ASL's history not one member of TBLS made it to the round-of-8

WOW! Spoilers in the title! Seriously?

While spoilers don't ruin the entire experience for me, I do think keeping them out of titles is a good idea. Remember that lots of people are following the Tastosis casts (roughly 50k viewers per video), which obviously lag behind the live broadcasts.

Why would you do that ??
Please remove it before spoiling more people..

Yep, we shouldn't talk about any ASL results before Christmas when all of the Tastosis VODs will be out.

Don't you think there is difference between talking about it and putting a giant spoiler in the title of a post ?

If you don't want to get spoiled, don't browse the place that is incredibly likely to be talking about it right after the event.

You can talk about it wherever you want, but I don't think it is acceptable to put any results in the TITLE of the news ''article'' which is in the main page. It isn't necessary and only frustrates people. Not like it is some major spoiler, but it just removes some flavor from watching the games, when you wanted to do that at weekend, but already know the results at wednesday.

Didn't know it was featured on the main page. Yes, that is done in poor taste I agree.

It was not when it was posted.

Spoilers were removed from the title when it got news'd.

While I don't follow Brood War nearly as much as I follow SC2, what was the original title that included the spoiler(s)? Feel free to bracket spoiler my reply. Thanks.

Looks to be an interesting set of Elite Eight matchups.

It mentioned some of the tournament favorites being taken out already.

Wow Mini has a 14-3 record vs. best over the last 5 months on Sponbbang. I don't think this was the bracket Best was hoping for.

Not surprising, Best is a tier below in PvP compared to Bisu, Mini and Snow.

Definitely an underdog in this series.

With Bisu out I think Larva is my favorite out of the remaining players

After watching the last Ro16 group what I really want out of the rest of the tournament is more cheese

Mini should wreck Best.
JyJ has been super impressive so far; Queen hasn't. While I'd still say Queen is favored, it should be an interesting series.
Not a great draw for Snow, but he does have a decent record against hero of late. Probably going to come down to his ability to block early aggression.
Rush should be able to take down Larva, though they play together a fair amount so there might be some weird mindgames.

Mini, JyJ, Hero and Rush imo

This has to be the best bracket possible for Zero, he basically just won another ASL. The people that could challenge him are likely to not even make it far enough to face him -- Larva is going to lose to Rush, Rush is going to lose to Snow, Best probably loses to Mini. Seems super likely Zero is just going to stomp Snow in a 45 min final.
