French esports organization Team Vitality’s current in-game leader Dan "apEX" Madesclaire did not hold back his thoughts in a recent interview with HLTV. The 28-year-old French rifler while talking about his former teammate and Cloud9 captain Alex “ALEX” McMeekin said that, "I hope ALEX is not gonna go on SHITLORANT". The brutal remark against Riot Games’ latest tactical first-person shooter Valorant came out of the blue, as apEX answered the question “Do we get ALEX back to being an IGL in France or do we lose him to Valorant?” A question which has been doing the rounds for quite some time now.

Apex Calls Out Valorant While Talking About ALEX

There is a lot of excitement in the current French CS:GO scene, due to the availability of a lot of talented players who could come together and form a new team. Nathan “NBK-” Schmitt has been talking a lot on this topic, revealing why the possibility of a new French CS:GO team is less likely but not impossible due to the nature of the current competitive scene.

While NBK- was not entirely opposed to returning to the French scene and is open to any and all opportunities within CS:GO, this does not seem to be the case with former Cloud9 captain ALEX. After a rough 6 months, ALEX who is currently on C9’s bench has started streaming a lot of Valorant while also participating in the Valorant Champions Tour with a pick up team, leading to a lot of speculations.

Commenting on the same apEX in a recent interview with HLTV said that “I don’t think he (ALEX) is going to come back to France to be honest, because I don’t think he feels it (is) enough attractive, I cannot understand it. I hope he is not going to go on 'shitlorant', cause we do need this important in-game leader in the scene.”

A lot of benched professional CS:GO players or those that are not signed to a proper organization have started streaming Valorant, and are quite open about a possible transfer to the new gaming title. The recently benched former OG player Issa "ISSAA" Murad is the most recent player to show interest in Valorant, alongside CS:GO star Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev who has straight up denied leaving competitive Counter-Strike.

The CS:GO fans were quite ecstatic to hear apEX suddenly call out Valorant, out of the blue. Some supporting his thoughts while a few defended the new title which has been giving CS:GO quite the competition.
