We’re thrilled to announce that VeeCon 2023 will be home to an official UNO™️ tournament Saturday night, hosted by Mattel! UNO® games are some of the most popular card games in the world. Since launching the collaborative VeeFriends UNO cards in 2021, it’s time to put the UNO skills of 48 participating VeeCon attendees to the test.

There are now 48 confirmed players who are set to compete for the prestigious title of VeeCon UNO Tournament Champion. Aside from bragging rights, the winner will receive a championship trophy, a VeeFriends GaryBee 1/1 Luxury Pin, a framed, uncut VeeFriends UNO sheet, and play a UNO game in NYC against the final game master–GaryVee!

Tournament Overview

The tournament will be hosted on Saturday night from 9:30 PM ET — 11 PM ET in the Rainbow Planet Room, following evening entertainment inside Lucas Oil Stadium.

The tournament’s structure is to have a set number of matches in each round. A match is over when either a person discards all of their cards or the time limit for the game is up.

Afterward, the tournament officials will score the remaining cards in players’ hands according to UNO rules. At the conclusion of the round, a predetermined number of individuals per table with the lowest combined score will advance to the next stage.

Below are highlights of the number of tables, players per table, matches per round, time per match, and the number of people to advance per table:

• Round 1–8 Tables, 6 Per Table, 2 Matches, 5 Minutes Each, 2 People Advance per table (16 total)
• Round 2–4 Tables, 4 Per Table, 2 Matches, 5 Minutes Each, 2 People Advance per table (8 Total)
• Round 3–1 Table, 8 Per Table, 3 Matches, 10 Minutes Each, 1 winner

48 contestants will compete in the tournament, each vying for the VeeCon UNO Tournament Champion title. The stakes are high, with the winner taking home a championship trophy, a VeeFriends Gary Bee 1/1 Luxury Pin, a framed, uncut VeeFriends UNO sheet, and the opportunity to play an UNO game in NYC against the final game master–GaryVee! All VeeCon 2023 attendees are invited to watch as history is made and the first-ever VeeCon UNO Tournament Champion is crowned.
