The 2023 NFL Draft is here and it is time to look at what may happen. Here is the 2023 NFL Mock Draft April 27.

Round 1

1. Carolina Panthers (via CHI)- Bryce Young, QB, Alabama

The Panthers have moved up to the number one overall pick to take their quarterback. While Stroud was the early favorite to be the pick, Young is now the odds-on favorite. Young can make plays outside of structure and was clutch during his Alabama career.

2. Houston Texans- C.J. Stroud, QB, Ohio State

While there are plenty of rumors surrounding the Texans, they still need to get a quarterback. Stroud has great ball placement and has solid size.

3. Arizona Cardinals- Will Anderson, EDGE, Alabama

Arizona is likely going to be fielding some calls from teams looking to move up for a quarterback. If they stick with the pick, they can take Anderson, who is a good pass rusher, but also solid against the run.

4. Indianapolis Colts- Anthony Richardson, QB, Florida

Indianapolis has gone through plenty of veteran quarterbacks over the last few seasons, but it is time for them to get a young one to develop. Richardson, who tested off the charts at the combine, may be too physically gifted to pass up.

5. Seattle Seahawks- Jalen Carter, DL, Georgia

The Seahawks need to improve on the defensive line and Carroll will love the disruption Carter brings.

6. Detroit Lions- Devon Witherspoon, CB, Illinois

Detroit had a terrible defense last season. They have brought some talent in at corner, but may not be able to pass up on Witherspoon.

7. Las Vegas Raiders- Will Levis, QB, Kentucky

The Raiders may have just signed Jimmy Garoppolo, but he may not be a long-term answer. Levis has good physical tools, but could have better decision-making.

8. Atlanta Falcons- Tyree Wilson, EDGE, Texas Tech

After trading for Jeff Okudah, the Falcons can get another edge rusher to really improve the defense.

9. Chicago Bears- Paris Johnson Jr., OT, Ohio State

If the Bears keep Teven Jenkins at guard and move Cody Whitehair to center, they can improve with another offensive tackle. Johnson moved from guard to tackle this season, where he is a much more natural fit.

10. Philadelphia Eagles (Via NO)- Bijan Robinson, RB, Texas

Over the last few seasons, the Eagles have really built up their roster across the board. They can improve the running back position by taking Robinson, who can do it all.

11. Tennessee Titans- Peter Skoronski, OT, Northwestern

Skoronski was recruited as a center, but played left tackle well for the last few seasons at Northwestern. The Titans cut Taylor Lewan and can play Skoronski at left tackle or move him inside.

12. Houston Texans (via CLE)- Quentin Johnston, WR, TCU

After getting a franchise quarterback, the Texans need to get him a number-one option. Johnston is big and fast, which creates a mismatch outside.

13. Green Bay Packers- Dalton Kincaid, TE, Utah

The Packers need to get more weapons for Jordan Love to help make him successful.

14. New England Patriots- Christian Gonzalez, CB, Oregon

Taking Gonzalez will allow the Patriots to move Marcus Jones to nickel and improve their secondary as a whole.

15. New York Jets- Broderick Jones, OT, Georgia

The Jets lost Mekhi Becton to injury last season, but they still need help on the offensive line.

16. Washington Commanders- Joey Porter Jr., CB, Penn State Washington can get a really physical corner in Porter Jr. to improve their secondary.

17. Pittsburgh Steelers- Deonte Banks, CB, Maryland

After improving the offensive line in free agency, the Steelers can get a good athlete at corner in Banks.

18. Detroit Lions- Jaxson Smith-Njigba, WR, Ohio State

Amon-Ra St. Brown played in the slot and outside, but would move outside primarily if Detroit made this pick, as Smith-Njigba plays in the slot.

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Darnell Wright, OT, Tennessee

Donovan Smith has been cut and Tristan Wirfs will likely move to left tackle, making right tackle a need

20. Seattle Seahawks- Nolan Smith, EDGE, Georgia

Seattle already improved their defensive line, but they need more production from their edge rushers.

*The Miami Dolphins forfeited their first-round pick.

21. Los Angeles Chargers- Zay Flowers, WR, Boston College

With the injuries to Keenan Allen and Mike Williams this season, the Chargers may want to get more help at wide receiver. When they are on the field Flowers can stretch the field and open things up for everyone.

22. Baltimore Ravens- Emmanuel Forbes, CB, Mississippi State

After acquiring Odell Beckham Jr., the Ravens can turn their attention to drafting a corner to go across from Marlon Humphrey.

23. Minnesota Vikings- Cam Smith, CB, South Carolina

Minnesota has not had a great defense this season and can improve in the secondary.

24. Jacksonville Jaguars- Brian Branch, S, Alabama

The Jaguars would likely play Branch at nickel corner to bolster their defense, but he also has the versatility to play safety.

25. New York Giants- O’Cyrus Torrence, OG/C, Florida

New York has to improve the interior of their offensive line and Torrence brings a lot of power.

26. Dallas Cowboys- Michael Mayer, TE, Notre Dame

After losing Dalton Schultz in free agency, the Cowboys can get another weapon for Dak Prescott in Mayer.

27. Buffalo Bills- Jahmyr Gibbs, RB, Alabama

With struggling in the red zone, the Bills may be tempted to take a running back to help them convert more.

28. Cincinnati Bengals- Calijah Kancey, DL, Pittsburgh

Duke Tobin is dead set on taking the best player available and that might be Kancey, who is undersized, but athletic.

29. New Orleans Saints (via SF)- Myles Murphy, EDGE, Clemson

The Saints like bigger edge rushers and Murphy fits that mold, while also having good athleticism.

30. Philadelphia Eagles- Jordan Addison, WR, USC

Philadelphia can really improve the offense with better play out of the slot in 2023.

31. Kansas City Chiefs- Will McDonald IV, EDGE, Iowa State

Kansas City has lost Frank Clark and need more help at edge rusher.

Round 2

32. Pittsburgh Steelers (via CHI)- Dawand Jones, OT, Ohio State

Getting a corner in the first round will allow the Steelers to address their tackles early in round two.

33. Houston Texans- Lukas Van Ness, EDGE, Iowa

DeMeco Ryans loves big and strong edge rushers and Van Ness fits that mold.

34. Arizona Cardinals- Bryan Bresee, DL, Clemson

Arizona can really bolster their defense in this draft while they await Kyler Murray’s return.

35. Indianapolis Colts- Darnell Washington, TE, Georgia

Getting a new quarterback some weapons to help them develop would be a good idea for Indy.

36. Los Angeles Rams- Keion White, EDGE, Georgia Tech

The Rams have lost a lot of pass rushing production over the last few years and need to replace it.

37. Seattle Seahawks (via DEN)- John Michael Schmitz, OG/C, Minnesota

Seattle improved their defense in the first round and now can get a true center in Schmitz.

38. Las Vegas Raiders- Adetomiwa Adebawore, EDGE, Northwestern

The Raiders can get better on the interior of the defensive line to really improve the rest of their defense.

39. Carolina Panthers- B.J. Ojulari, EDGE, LSU

Carolina traded up for their quarterback and signed offensive free agents to help him. Now, they need to get a pass rusher across from Brian Burns.

40. New Orleans Saints- D.J. Turner, CB, Michigan

The Saints already netted a good pass rusher and now can improve the secondary as well.

41. Tennessee Titans- Josh Downs, WR, North Carolina

After getting rid of Robert Woods, the Titans need more receivers outside of Treylon Burks.

42. Green Bay Packers (via NYJ)- Jalin Hyatt, WR, Tennessee

The Packers drafted a tight end in the first round, but can get a slot receiver to aid Jordan Love even further.

43. New York Jets- Keeanu Benton, DL, Wisconsin

While the Jets’ defense was great last season, they can improve on the interior of the defensive line.

44. Atlanta Falcons- Cedric Tillman, WR, Tennessee

If the Falcons want Desmond Ridder to be successful, they need to get him more weapons.

45. Green Bay Packers- Antonio Johnson, S, Texas A&M

Green Bay has had bad safety play recently and drafting a versatile player like Johnson would make sense.

46. New England Patriots- Mazi Smith, DL, Michigan

The middle of the defensive line could use an upgrade.

47. Washington Commanders- Hendon Hooker, QB, Tennessee

The Commanders currently have Sam Howell slotted to be the starter, but could prefer someone else this year.

48. Detroit Lions- Luke Musgrave, TE, Oregon State

Detroit traded away T.J. Hockenson last season and need to get a new tight end.

49. Pittsburgh Steelers- Drew Sanders, LB, Arkansas

While they have decent linebackers, the Steelers don’t have difference-makers at the position. Sanders provides versatility as he has experience at inside linebacker and edge rusher.

50. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Clark Phillips, CB, Utah

Phillips could improve the Buccaneers’ secondary as a slot corner.

51. Miami Dolphins- Anton Harrison, OT, Oklahoma

The Dolphins have had offensive line issues over the last few years and can get good value in Harrison.

52. Seattle Seahawks- Julius Brents, CB, Kansas State

Pete Carroll loves tall, lanky corners and that describes Brents.

53. Chicago Bears (via BAL)- Felix Anudike-Uzomah, EDGE, Kansas State

The Bears traded all of their pass rushers over the past couple of years and need to get new ones.

54. Los Angeles Chargers- Trenton Simpson, LB, Clemson

Simpson is very athletic and can start right away for the Chargers.

55. Detroit Lions (via MIN)- Jack Campbell, LB, Iowa

Detroit has plenty of picks to upgrade different positions and will need to get a linebacker or two in the draft.

56. Jacksonville Jaguars- Cody Mauch, OG/C, North Dakota State

The Jaguars need to keep Trevor Lawrence protected at all costs.

57. New York Giants- Kelee Ringo, CB, Georgia

For the Giants to improve their defense, they’ll need to improve at corner and Ringo has good athleticism.

58. Dallas Cowboys- Nathaniel Dell, WR, Houston

After getting a tight end in the first round, Dell can step in if Michael Gallup doesn’t return to his pre-injury form.

59. Buffalo Bills- Joe Tippmann, OG/C, Wisconsin

Buffalo should look into improving their offensive line early in the draft.

60. Cincinnati Bengals- Sam LaPorta, TE, Iowa

The Bengals lost Hayden Hurst in free agency and could draft one early.

62. Philadelphia Eagles- JL Skinner, S, Boise State

The Eagles could use more depth in the secondary.

63. Kansas City Chiefs- Marvin Mims, WR, Oklahoma

Kansas City has a few good receivers, but needs a go-to guy and that could be Mims.
