Amazon has a history of worker injury rates that are “far higher” than other companies in the warehousing sector according to OSHA head Doug Parker, reports
CNBC。

In 2022, Amazon employees were hurt at a rate of 6.9 injuries for every 100 workers, according to facility-level data released in March 2023 by the U.S. Labor Department’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Moreover, OSHA investigators cited Amazon for “failing to keep workers safe” in January 2023.

As of April 15, OSHA told CNBC that investigations were currently underway at more than 10 Amazon locations, with pending inspections reportedly planned for dozens of other Amazon facilities.
