As we evolve from the depths of the COVID pandemic, it is important to assess impact on student learning and socioemotional outcomes, consider inequitable factors and differential effects, and to anticipate what research and data are most important from the U.S. and worldwide perspectives. This symposium takes up these issues in terms of research priorities and evidence-based policy. The three panelists bring distinctive emphases. Their three presentations aim to be catalytic allowing for discussion across the panel and with attendees.
