Going Native

A question that comes up regularly is when Paribus will transition to Cardano. Although we’ve answered this many times we recognize that every week new people join our community so we thought we’d take the time to cover the fundamentals of this issue once more. The first question we are often asked is why Paribus is an Ethereum-based token and platform if we’re building for Cardano. The reason is that when we launched our PBX token one year ago it was very difficult to access developers who could write code

People leaving Ethereum is ‘just never going to happen,’ says Solana co-founder

2021 saw a significant proportion of developers shifting from Ethereum to rival blockchains. Primarily, because the Ethereum network continued to fight high gas fees and congestion. Well, one network that hugely benefitted from this situation was Solana. Its meteoric rise over 2021 positioned it as one of the main Ethereum-killers. Solana’s native token Sol reached a new all-time high in early November. Furthermore, at the time of writing, the token registered a 10% ROI over the past week. Also, it had a 24-hour trading volume of over $3.6 billion, at

Visa develops interoperability concept for central bank digital currency payments

Payments giant Visa has taken a step toward achieving its vision for central bank digital currencies (CBDCs). It has developed a concept that shows how various CBDCs can be interoperable with each other to make payments. The concept, called "Universal Payments Channel" (UPC), outlines how various blockchain networks can be interconnected to allow the transfer of CBDCs. It shows how Visa can help exchange various CBDCs built on different blockchains in the future. "This is a much longer-term future thinking concept around a way that Visa could potentially help become a

Hub Star: Take control and generate value from personal data

TRON has grown in its popularity as a blockchain that is flexible and adaptable for users and developers alike. TRON supports smart contracts such as Solidity using protobuf. While there has been significant growth in smart contracts on the TRON network NFTs are also finding their ground on the blockchain. Some NFTs on TRON have been listed for more than $135K while others are being sold for as much as $620k. While decentralization and blockchain have helped developers and users to bring innovation to sectors ranging from healthcare to real

Making DeFi mainstream: An interview with FEG token Marketing Manager Chris

Although the DeFi space is growing significantly, it still lacks mass adoption. Another issue faced is by novice users in the space who can fall prey to scams and rug pulls easily. FEG Token is built to provide a decentralized transaction network that operates on Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain blockchains. The multi-chain exchange, FEGex, offers decentralization and is driven by its community. In conversation with Chris, the Marketing Manager for FEG Token, we talk about the DeFi space, FEGex’s solution, FEG Token, and much more. 1. According to you,

Ethereum Rival Polkadot Launches Polkastarter DEX and Liquidity Mining

A new decentralized exchange has emerged in the already-crowded DeFi space. The platform is being offered by the Ethereum rival Polkadot network. Dec. 15 marks the official launch date of the Polkastarter DEX. The platform has been designed for cross-chain token pools and auctions, with the purpose of enabling projects to raise capital on the Polkadot network. Polkastarter was officially announced in September when the project listed its native POLS token on Uniswap. It has now gone live with the first liquidity pool offering rewards for swapping ETH for POLS.

TRON and Waves Tap Gravity to Connect Their Blockchains

Blockchain projects TRON and Waves have inked a strategic partnership with the aim of achieving mass adoption of inter-chain DeFi. The landmark inter-chain initiative owes a debt to Gravity, the decentralized blockchain-agnostic oracle network that facilitated the integration. When Chains Collide TRON and Waves use completely different smart contract languages, the former having been written in Solidity and the latter using Ride. To bring the pair onto the same page, Gravity’s interoperable oracle queries data on each chain, thereby enabling the ecosystems to increase access to services for both user

Smart Contracts: Don’t Reinvent the Wheel

SafeMathIn most modern programming languages, safety in arithmetic operations is accounted for, so little thought goes into their implementation. However, in Solidity, overflows and underflows present a security risk.SafeMath is a library that ensures safe arithmetic operations by reverting the transaction if the bounds of an integer data type are exceeded.SafeMath example. The using statement indicates to the compiler that the contract is using functions defined in SafeMath for uint operations. Instead of using arithmetic operators (+, -, *, /, %), use the functions add(), sub(), mul(), div(), and mod(). Source:

Google Chrome Leads the Pack, but Privacy-Oriented Browsers Gain Traction

In recent months, big-name players like Google and Apple have been going the extra mile to showcase their privacy features to the world. However, as most people are now aware, these multinational companies have business models that are centered around collecting and aggregating the data of their customers. In this regard, growing interest in privacy-first browsers like Brave clearly suggests a collective increase in internet users’ concern over how their personal information is being accumulated, stored and utilized on a day-to-day basis.Individuals all over the globe have become so accustomed to
