Weekly Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Market Analysis

Simon Peters, market analyst: Bitcoin Teases Us At $12,000  Suffice it to say, it was a busy week, with mixed performance in equity markets and odd – but not unpromising – movements for bitcoin. The FTSE All-Share index and the STOXX600 both recorded steady rises, while the S&P500, which started the week at 3,352, took a turn for the worse on Wednesday. After its drop to 3,335, it has since recovered to 3,372. Bitcoin broke through $12,000 on Monday, only to suffer a significant fall to $11,275 by Wednesday morning.

Bitcoin Is Better Than Gold Right Now: Galaxy Digital’s Mike Novogratz

Eyes are starting to fall on both Bitcoin and gold as money printing continues. Case in point: It was revealed that Warren Buffett through Berkshire Hathaway sold many bank stocks while acquiring Barrick Gold shares. There is a debate in certain circles over what investment is better in the current macroeconomic environment, gold or BTC? According to Mike Novogratz, Bitcoin is likely better than the precious metal. This is a sentiment that has also been said by players like Raoul Pal, a former Goldman Sachs partner. FAANG stocks And Digital Assets Are Flying

Which would you prefer, a large pizza split into eight slices, or a large pizza split into 12 slices? A normal, rational person might suggest that it really doesn’t make much of a difference, as it’s really the same amount of pizza. Bitcoin Eyes $14K as US Dollar Breaks Below Classic Support

Bitcoin pressed higher on Wednesday after finding reliable support at $10,500. The upside move appeared as the US dollar index broke below its classic trendline support that originated back in 2011. With greenback setting new downside targets based on technical parameters, Bitcoin could extend its gains further as it eyes a $14,000-retest. Bitcoin climbed higher during the Wednesday trading session as demand for alternative safe-havens remained stronger against an underperforming US dollar. The benchmark cryptocurrency rose 5 percent to close at $11,756.75 (data from Coinbase). Its gains followed a record

UBS Expects Gold to Hit $2,000; What Does It Mean for Bitcoin?

UBS Global predicts that gold would climb to $2,000, at least by September, just as the metal’s correlation with Bitcoin reaches a new high. Wayne Gordan, executive director of Commodities and Forex at UBS, projected negative US real yields as the core reason behind the increasing bids for gold. The other key point, Mr. Gordon stated, is the ongoing plunge in the US dollar. Bitcoin traders should brace for a decent upside momentum led by the gold market. It is because of the increasing realized correlation between the two assets.
