The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom allows you to find all sorts of materials when you kill monsters. You’ll do that a lot, being the local hero. But some monsters don’t show up super frequently, and you need their parts to make your potions and improve your armor. Here’s our guide telling you where to find and farm Red Chuchu Jelly in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom – where to find and farm Red Chuchu Jelly

If you want to find and farm Red Chuchu Jelly, you need to look for Red Chuchu enemies. They drop the jelly once defeated. You can scoop up anywhere between one and three of the slimy goop at a time.

To find Red Chuchus, look around the slopes of Death Mountain. They appear throughout the overworld and in the Depths, typically near sources of tremendous heat, but I’ve had the most luck in the areas around the mountain. They also appear near Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower. You’ll see them easily because of their blobby shape. They ooze about, glowing and menacing.

When you prepare to find and farm Red Chuchus, make sure to wear the Flamebreaker armor set. If you get near to one and hit it with a melee weapon, it will burst and you will likely take severe damage unless you have armor equipped that provides resistance. You can also attack from a distance with a long lance or with a bow. However, that’s still risky.

To farm Red Chuchu Jelly, you can also defeat regular Chuchus with fire attacks. Seek out some of the standard variety in the grassy fields near Lookout Landing. Defeat them by using an arrow fused with Fire Fruit. Or use a weapon imbued with flame. Or throw a flammable item (check our guide on how to throw items and weapons if you need help). The jelly that drops will be Red Chuchu Jelly.

After a new Blood Moon, check the northern slope of Death Mountain, west of Gut Check Rock and near Eldin’s Flank. That’s my favorite place to find Red Chuchus. Then finish up with the standard types near Lookout Landing. Lure them to the road, or they’ll set the grass on fire and the resulting wind will blow away and break dropped jelly. If you still need more jelly, then it’s time to explore the warmer regions of the Depths.
