Kerbal Space Program 2, the sequel to the rocket-building game, will launch in Early Access on February 24, 2023, for PC on Steam, Epic Game Store, and other outlets. Kerbal Space Program 2 will launch in Early Access with hundreds of new and improved parts to build a variety of vehicles and rockets, time warp under acceleration for improved long-distance flights, and superior graphics with a planetary atmosphere and terrain system to make this the most visually impressive KSP game yet. Players can learn space flight with better lessons and onboarding. Before release, Kerbal Space Program 2 Early Access purchasers will provide developers feedback.

Kerbal Space Program 2 will improve the main experience by giving players near-limitless options to build new spacecraft and lunar vehicles. Over 350 new and upgraded parts, including engines, fuel tanks, procedural part systems, and more, will be available in Early Access. Players may build planes, rockets, rovers, and more from this extensive components box. Kerbal Space Program 2 will provide vehicle customization and painting, allowing for greater build customization.

The game will have beautiful environments and more new parts

Players will be able to travel across Kerbolar at Early Access. Launch from Kerbin, explore Mun’s pockmarked beauty, observe Jool’s towering green clouds, and uncover amazing landscapes on these rebuilt heavenly bodies. All these legendary locales have been reinvented, adding authenticity and complexity through a terrain system that will test landing site selection. The new planetary atmosphere system lets fans soar over gorgeous cloudscapes.

“We are really pleased to release Kerbal Space Program 2 on Early Access because it will allow Kerbal fans to experience for themselves all the fantastic progress we’ve made as we near the final stages of development,” said Intercept Games Creative Director Nate Simpson. “KSP2 is about exploring, discovering, and conquering gravity by adding boosters.”

Kerbal Space Program 2, built from the ground up, will introduce a new generation to the thrill of unintentionally learning rocket science while offering new challenges and capabilities to Kerbal veterans. A revised vehicle assembly interface and interactive animation lessons will teach rocketry. The sequel will have a redesigned flight HUD, improved map and maneuver symbology, and more. The time warp mechanism has more zoom settings and lets players pause time while controlling. Players can now time warp while accelerating to avoid long interplanetary waits. Finally, more contextual information will help players handle vehicle breakdowns.
