So now it is the turn of Facebook​’s and Apple​’s earnings​ as both companies capped off a remarkable week on the earnings calendar.

Apple’s profit was up to $23.6bn thanks to a surge in iPhone​ sales, especially in China​. This led to a doubling of profits since the start of the pandemic.

Facebook, also saw bumper revenues and profits in Q1​. The time spent by people at home, and the spending power that shifted online, turned into revenues of over $26bn.
