Hello Trainers! 2023 not only poises itself to be a good year for fans of the Pokemon games but also for fans of the anime. The Pokemon Company told the world a while ago that Ash Ketchum and Pikachu are on their way out as the main protagonists of the anime. And that two new characters will head up the next installment. The Game Haus now knows when the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet anime will air.

Liko and Roy Storm Paldea in the Spring

According to Facebook, Pokemon Global News Group posted on February 10, that the new anime will air episodes in April of 2023. The first episode will be airing on April 14. This is huge as while fans found out about the air year in 2022, they now have a date to mark on their calendars.

Anyone who is behind on finishing the Pokemon Journeys seasons still has plenty of time to finish before then. This is both a scary and exciting time for the community. Fans will miss Ash, but Liko and Roy look like they will have tons of fun adventures. The old generations of fans see Ash off as a new generation gets to be inspired by new faces.

However, fans need to note that this is the release date for the Japanese dub. There is no date for the English localization to air in the US. This article will be updated when it is announced.

Conclusion

It is sad to see Ash Ketchum leave, but the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet anime still looks to be a powerhouse for the franchise. Fans await April with bated breath. Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly will be the star partners in this adventure and who knows, we might still see Pikachu as one of their team members.

Everyone should mark their calendars with the day to support Liko and Roy’s debut.
