We have a whole host of amazing opportunities over on FinTech Futures Jobs right now, from engineering roles to other amazing positions in tech and beyond.

Here’s a small taster of the kinds of gigs available right now…

DevOps Engineer, OakNorth

Small and medium-size enterprises (SMEs) are one of the biggest drivers of growth and innovation in economies all over the world. Despite these companies being a powerful force in the economy, many SMEs find it difficult to raise capital during critical stages of their company growth.

Traditional commercial lending is optimised to make loans that are either too small to be effective or too large and expensive to be practical. At OakNorth, the mission is to help lenders fill this gap which they refer to as the “Missing Middle”.

They are building a SaaS platform called the Credit Intelligence Suite which transforms commercial lending by helping banks build deeper relationships with their clients and open new opportunities while delivering credit decisions up to ten times faster than traditional models, with lower risk and greater efficiency.

The company is now on the lookout for a DevOps Engineer with experience of infrastructure and release automation in a continuous integration/continuous delivery framework.

Your deep experience will have led you to a good practical knowledge of what works and what doesn’t. You will work well with devs and client stakeholders to ensure mutually excellent outcomes and have exceptional judgement; by the time you say a release is good to go, or infra is ready to ship for a client, it’s rock solid.

You will need between 4-7 years of experience, along with extensive Unix/Linux experience.

Executive Assistant, Finastra

Reporting to the VP, Global Head of Business Transformation and supporting 1-2 other executive leaders working in other parts of the business, the Executive Assistant will provide exceptional support in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment.

This position requires extreme proactivity in anticipating and adapting to the needs of a highly dynamic team of executives. In order to do this, the EA must quickly understand how each of the individuals prefers to operate.

The EA will be viewed as a “problem solver” and someone who brings issues with options for resolution to the attention of the leadership team. The EA will use discretion and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information, be adaptable and flexible in responding to a variety of requests and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The successful incumbent will be required to perform extensive calendar management and coordination of all travel arrangements. In addition, the EA will have the opportunity to support special projects as required.

You will support the preparation of presentations, proposals, reports and other business correspondence. You will also communicate directly and on behalf of the leadership team with a variety of stakeholders. You will be working with HR and hiring managers to assist with the onboarding of new team members and the departures of employees.

Software Developer II, Oracle

At Oracle, they believe that customers should have a blazingly fast, constantly available and highly secure cloud that is cost-effective. They believe that customers should be able to have all the capabilities of the cloud in a continent, country, city or building of their choice.

These beliefs inspired them to build Oracle Cloud Infrastructure: the world’s only second-generation Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) platform. They made fundamental decisions in designing this platform to provide the security and performance guarantees for the most demanding workloads.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. You will build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

You will perform moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. A BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to the functional area is required, as is one year of software engineering or related experience.
