Although the origins of Pride Month go back more than 50 years, it wasn’t until the start of the 21st century that June was officially designated as Gay and Lesbian Pride Month. And it was just 10 years ago that the more inclusive term, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month, was officially adopted.
