Only four teams remain, so here is a look forward to the Champions League Semi-Final matchups.

Real Madrid vs Manchester City

One side of the bracket provides us with a mouthwatering rematch of last year’s semi-final, pitting the champions of Spain against the champions of England. Last year’s series was one of the most historic matchups, and fans are eager to see what this year brings.

Real Madrid has knocked out Liverpool and Chelsea on their way to the semis and now faces their third English opposition. The current Champions League holders beat Manchester City in a jaw-dropping final-minute comeback in the second leg and went on to lift the trophy weeks later.

Since then they have strengthened their squad depth, and with the emergence of Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni, among many others, this matchup may be even more competitive this time around.

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City took down RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich in the knockout stages, and are keen on exacting revenge against Madrid. Despite still being a few points off the top of the Premier League table, the ‘Citizens’ are in great form and will look to bring their all in Europe’s top competition.

Erling Haaland is in incredible form and few on the planet look capable of stopping him. City are still in the hunt for a treble this year, and hurdling over Real Madrid on their way to a final would surely be a massive boost for the squad.

AC Milan vs Inter Milan

AC Milan hasn’t made it to a Champions League semi-final since 2007 when they last won it. Inter Milan hasn’t made it to a Champions League semi-final since 2010, when they last won it. This season for the first time since 2018 not only will we see an Italian team in the semi-finals, but it will be a classic derby game.

The two Milan clubs have won the previous two Serie A titles, and have slowly built their reputations back up to reach the heights they see again now. AC Milan had to get past Tottenham Hotspurs and Napoli to reach the semis, and Inter knocked out Porto and Benfica.

Rafael Leao and Brahim Diaz have been key to AC Milan’s European success this year, and they will look to continue their good form into the local derby. Inter have struggled more on the attack this season than their crosstown rivals, but have stood strong defensively and won’t back down from this challenge.

One way or another one team from Milan will be present in this year’s Final, it’s only a matter of red or blue.

The Semi-Finals will be played on May 9 and 16. The final is on June 10.
