One of the things we love most about Beat Saber is that it’s home to a variety of genres—and today, we’re giving you a new way to rock out in VR with the game’s first-ever dedicated Rock Mixtape! With eight high-octane tracks for $10.99 USD, this is one gift that’s sure to keep on giving.

Nirvana, Guns N’ Roses, Foo Fighters, Lynyrd Skynyrd—we’ve got some of the biggest classic and alternative rock artists spanning several eras. The tracklist speaks for itself:

  • Steppenwolf — Born To Be Wild
  • Survivor — Eye of the Tiger
  • KISS — I Was Made For Lovin’ You
  • Lynyrd Skynyrd — Free Bird
  • The White Stripes — Seven Nation Army
  • Nirvana — Smells Like Teen Spirit
  • Guns N’ Roses — Sweet Child O’ Mine
  • Foo Fighters — The Pretender

The Rock Mixtape includes a custom environment that leverages the translation tech introduced with The Weeknd Music Pack, with movements that are animated by hand. In the level for “Seven Nation Army,” astute fans will notice several lighting effects and color scheme mixes inspired by its iconic music video. “Eye of the Tiger” was designed as a “FitBeat”-style obstacle level, in keeping with the song’s place in pop culture. And “Free Bird” is a marathon—clocking in at nearly nine minutes, it’s the longest song ever released in Beat Saber with a record-setting 3,000+ notes.

Beat Saber’s Rock Mixtape is now available on the Meta Quest and Rift Platforms. So find the (back)beat and slash to your heart’s content.
