MLB The Show 21 Release Date

MLB The Show 21 release date is now confirmed, with the game launching on Tuesday, April 20, 2021.

Early Access is also set to be available from Friday, April 16, 2021.

With the MLB season kicking off in March, The Show 21 is slightly later than usual which is likely due to the current global pandemic.

Cover Star

MLB The Show 21's cover star was an interesting debate, but it's all been put to rest, as young superstar Fernando Tatis Jr. has been selected as the man on the box!

MLB The Show 21 will have several trailers before launch day, and the first has finally arrived!

Platforms

MLB The Show games have been a PlayStation exclusive commodity for years.

Things all pointed to MLB The Show 21 remaining a PlayStation exclusive, especially after PlayStation versions were rated in Brazil.

Things are changing this year, with The Show 21 confirmed for Xbox.

All the consoles confirmed thus far are PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

There are rumors of a Nintendo Switch version after Nintendo America responded to an MLB statement regarding the future of their games on other consoles.

As for PC players - things remain in the balance, but there is no news of a PC version as of yet.

The Standard Edition of MLB The Show 21 costs $59.99 for PS4 and Xbox One, and it's $69.99 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

MLB The Show 20 came out before the next gen console craze, and while it's playable via backwards compatibility, the game wasn't designed specifically for next gen.
