Principals and the Community School Approach (CLC)
Did you know that there are over 90 schools that are part of the Community Schools Network? Also known as Community Learning Centre (CLC) schools, community schools adopt a holistic, ecosystemic approach to support not only the academic needs of students but also provide resources and services to support their health, wellness, and civic engagement. Planning for 2023-2024
The Virtual Campus is now a partnership with Western Quebec School Board and LEARN, providing Quebec’s English secondary schools with high-quality online courses. The Virtual Campus Needs Assessment Survey was emailed to schools in March.
We look forward to hearing from new and old school partners across the province to plan how we can support online learning, both Real-Time and Self-Paced, for the 2023-2024 school year.
Who are Virtual Campus students?
- Students from small/alternative/outreach schools unable to offer some course options
- Students with scheduling conflicts
- Students taking a course from another grade level
- Students from out-of-province or international students needing graduation credits from secondary 4
- Students unable to attend school regularly
All requests for online learning support MUST come from the school or school board.

Are You Ready to Take a Risk? Prêt·e à prendre un risque?
Wat is een risico?
Psychologie says that, “when people take risks, they engage in behaviors that could lead to [real or perceived] negative consequences such as lichamelijk letsel, sociale afwijzing, juridische problemenof financiële verliezen. … Regardless of the degree of risk involved, however, behaviors of any type can lead to both positive and negative consequences.”

A ScratchEd Meetup is a playful and creative approach to professional learning for educators who are interested in teaching with Kras from elementary school to high school, across curricular areas and settings. Unlike typical conferences or professional development, where the schedule is predetermined, a meetup schedule is collaboratively constructed by the people in the room, based on their passions, interests, and questions. We encourage participants to propose session topics inspired by their Scratch-related interests and needs.
We are a bilingual Meetup (EN/FR)
