Ingenico が SoftPOS ベンダーの Phos を買収

2018 年に設立された Phos により、販売者は Android モバイルでカードをタップするだけで直接支払いができるようになり、別のカード リーダーが不要になります。

Ingenico にとって、この買収は、従来のハードウェア主導型の EftPOS 市場におけるデジタル決済向けのソフトウェアベースのサービスの提供に向けた戦略的転換と一致しています。

SoftPOS 分野は、大規模小売店、小規模小売店、および「個人事業主」向けの通路内支払いの両方に複数のアプリケーションを備えた、ダイナミックで成長する市場とみなされています。 SoftPoS 端末の設置ベースは、3.1 年の全世界で 2022 万台から 12 年にはほぼ 2027 万台に増加すると予想されています。
