Emphasizing the ease of integration for developers, the Scroll’s team noted:

Scroll’s zkEVM technology aims to substantially lower transaction costs while bolstering transaction throughput for decentralized applications on the Ethereum blockchain. This is achieved by aggregating thousands of transactions off-chain e poi sending a concise proof to Ethereum’s mainnet, summarizing the data.

Interestingly, Scroll had been quiet about its mainnet being operational since October 8th, the date the first smart contract was initialized on the platform.
