The transportation sector is the largest contributor to the country’s climate pollution, accounting for a third of all emissions. In fact, a hiljuti avaldatud aruanne from Rhodium Group found that while emissions decreased overall year over year in 2023, the transportation sector’s footprint increased by almost two percent.

While transportation emissions are growing, the sector is rife with technological and policy opportunities to turn the tide. Over half of the sector’s emissions stem from personal vehicle use, and states are passing policies on vehicle emissions standards and charging infrastructure development to target emissions from this source.

State Progress on Transportation Emissions

In 2023, seven states adopted Täiustatud puhtad autod II (ACC II), the second version of a California law that requires a progressively increasing percentage of passenger vehicle sales to be electric (100 percent by 2035) — Colorado (2032) Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico (2032) ja New York. Two other states have drafted ACC II regulations under consideration: Rhode Island ja Maine

States are also passing bills that will expand charging networks for the growing number of electric vehicles on the road. In Maryland, Governor Moore signed the Clean Transportation and Energy Act, which extends their Electric Vehicle Recharging Equipment Program through fiscal year 2026 and increases funding from $1.8 million to $2.5 million annually.

Climate XChange’s Role Cutting Transpordiheitmed

Climate XChange has been working to pass state-level climate policies from its founding in 2013. Since then, we have built a network of over 15,000 state policymakers and advocates, providing them with resources, information, connections, and other support to help them pass effective and equitable climate policies.

In 2021, we introduced our State Climate Policy Dashboard, the most comprehensive publicly accessible database, tracking over 65 climate policies across all 50 states. In 2023 alone, the platform received over 23,000 views, and our biweekly updates on newly enacted policies reached over 60,000 views. Our team’s work has been recognized as a useful resource by the NY Times and the EPA.

We’re also on the ground in Maryland, where our campaign is fighting to pass an environmental justice bill that will invest billions of dollars in underserved communities.

We’re proud of the work we’ve accomplished in the past decade, but we need your help to continue tackling climate pollution.

Our 8th EV Raffle

Eight years ago, Climate XChange decided to take on decarbonizing the transportation sector while raising funds for our work by raffling off a fully-customized electric vehicle. Not only does our raffle put one more electric car on the road and thus cut transportation emissions, but it also helps fund our organization’s work advancing state climate policy.

This year, we’re offering our largest selection of electric vehicles for our Grand Prize Winner and offering the largest number of prizes in the history of our raffle!

Our Grand Prize Winner can fully customize an electric vehicle from any manufacturer at no cost to them — we even cover the taxes (up to $ 58,485)! We know that the world of electric vehicles has exploded in recent years and there are a lot of exciting options. Whether it’s a Tesla, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Polestar, Rivian, or Lucid, we’ll be by your side working with your local dealers to design and purchase your dream car worth up to $112,835 (the price of a fully-loaded Model X Plaid)

We’re also giving our winner $5,000 to install a home charger or to pay for charging on the road. We want the process of transitioning to an electric vehicle to be seamless, from picking a car to using it for daily drives.

In addition to our most exciting Grand Prize yet, we’re offering five cash prizes this year — our most ever! In November, we picked the lucky winner of our $10,000 Early Bird Prize. But don’t worry if you missed out on our first drawing because we’ll be giving away four more cash prizes during our final drawing in just over a month.

We’ve sold just under half of our available 5,000 tickets, so your odds of winning are great! Don’t miss your chance to win the EV of your dreams while supporting an organization making a difference on climate change.

Mulle ei meeldi tasulised seinad. Sulle ei meeldi tasulised seinad. Kellele meeldivad tasulised seinad? Siin CleanTechnicas rakendasime mõnda aega piiratud tasulist seina, kuid see tundus alati vale – ja alati oli raske otsustada, mida sinna taha panna. Teoreetiliselt läheb teie kõige eksklusiivsem ja parim sisu tasulise seina taha. Aga siis loeb seda vähem inimesi!! Seega otsustasime siin CleanTechnicas tasulised seinad täielikult tühistada. Aga…
